Innovative Methodologies course

We have celebrated our course for English language specialists teachers from Castilla y León "INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGIES".

The course have been developed in two face to face sessions and an online phase, throughout our virtual platform.

The course objectives are:

1.- To develop teaching and learning skills for the 21st century that innovative methodologies provide.

2.- To discover the possibilities that autonomous learning, critical thinking and PBL have in language teaching.

3.- To integrate Collaborative Learning and ICT in the English class.

Ruby Vurdeen and David Rixham (White Rose Language Center) are the teacher trainers who have developed the sessions. We have reviewed language teaching methodologies, learnt about 21st century skills in the English classroom and discussed about the possibilities that ICT offers to our teaching practices. We have also worked on Project Based Learning, critical thinking and collaborative learning throughout the activities that participants have carried out.
